Pattaya, Pattaya Beach and Jomtien Beach (just around the corner) are an Internationally known and reknown holiday destination, ideally suited for single men, though increasing numbers of families are visiting Pattaya each year.

Pattaya Nightlife

Pattaya has several sides to it that may take you many holidays to discover them all, even the nightlife alone would consume well over a year of full time exploration to see everything. You see there are well over 1,000 bars in Pattaya and Jomtien alone, and that is not including all the small bars off the beaten track – the ones hidden amongst the suburbs or on “the dark side”, out across Sukhumvit Road.

Then add in all the Thai bars, Karaoke Bars Freelance venues and on and on and on…

By the time you have seen all the bars in Pattaya and Jomtien you will have learned your way around well enough to discover that there are small towns around Pattya with even more foreigner orientated bar areas.

Just when you think you have seen them all – old bars will have closed, changed owners, or new management, new bars opening and new hostesses hired in your old favourites – so you could in reality start exploring the bars all over again.

Or you could just sit in a open air Beer Bar in Walking Street and watch the ever changing human circus stroll by. Don’t worry you’ll never get bored of this circus, a new plane load of performers arrive on average about every hour.

Whew! And that is just the bars.

Restaurants In Pattaya

Top class restaurants with a variety of cuisines are available throughout Pattaya, from top class English Pub food, to Russian, to Arabic, Vietnamese, French, Italian, Laos, standard Western, seafood….. the list goes on and the prices are unbelievable compared to what you’d pay back home.

And of course there are places to eat Thai food. About every 3 steps someone will be selling Thai food. From high class Thai restaurants for the Bangkok elite, down to the push cart selling fried bugs at 2am out the front of Champagne A Go Go. Every level of Thai food is catered for, mostly at knock out prices. And open all night. A cheap but clean reputable Thai restaurant will set you back about $1.25 for a standard chicken/rice dish to $5 for a Thai style crab curry.

Day Time Activities

There is more to do and see in the day time than the night. The place is unbelievable.

Temples, museums, massage by the blind, sitting by the beach lazing about, hire a motorbike and go exploring on your own.

Catch a boat to one of the islands off the coast of Pattya Beach, or book a car to take you 1 hour south and visit the beautiful beaches of Koh Samet.

Hire a jet ski with your mates and race around the closer islands, it’s only a few kilometers – you can see the islands on the horizon.

If you’re an Aussie you can do a day trip to Hell Fire Pass where ANZAC services are held each year for the Diggers who dies building the Burma railway for the Japanese during World War II.

Ride an elephant (we’re not talking about your wife) and get some happy snaps to show the family back home. Keep the naughty pics for your friends.

Go golfing – OMG, if you are a golfer you are in heaven. With something like 18 International standard golf courses within an easy drive and many more available you’ll be seriously be delerious. And the 19th hole in Pattaya is not the same as back home, it is waaaay different.

Parasailing, Bungee jumping, Go Cart racing, those of you who love an adrenaline rush can get that too.

Thai Boxing, either watching at the stadiums or training up and having a go yourself. There are several top trainers available in the Muay Thai gyms in Pattaya.

Gyms, there are more gyms and more fit older men in Pattaya per square inch than in any other location in the world. The gyms are everywhere, and once you discover a new lease on life you’ll want to get fit and enjoy life and your ever changing ‘girlfriend’ as long as possible.
